Cruz has represented clients in state trial courts across Oregon and Washington State's urban and rural counties. He has also represented plaintiffs and defendants in the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Oregon and Western Washington.
Cruz is a graduate of the Lewis and Clark Law School and a licensed member of the Oregon Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Association.
Cruz was born in the Federated States of Micronesia on the island of Pohnpei, and his childhood was split between the Pacific Islands and the Pacific Northwest. After completing his undergraduate studies, he managed hotels and founded a theater company with a small group of friends in New York City before moving back West to attend law school.
